The Role of the Regional and Transregional Powers in the Syrian-Iraqi Crisis

Dmitri Fedorov

Abstract

The transparency and achievement of the available changes in Iraq and Syria are not only related to the agreements by the countries themselves but also it relates to the regional and global decision-making and policies. On the one hand, Russia, Iran, and China support the territorial integrity of the central government. On the other hand, the USA, England, France, and Turkey exert contradictory policies and tension regarding the central government in Iraq and Syria. On the other hand, the continued ambiguity and lack of transparency in the political changes of Syria and Iraq are because of the powerful powers in Eurasia, one the one hand, and the great Western powers, on the other hand.
