The official statistics of divorce do not fully reflect the failure of spouses in marriage, because there is a larger, yet undetected statistics associated with emotional divorce. Perhaps we can contribute a number twice as legal divorce rate to emotional divorce, that is, to silent lives and hollow families, where men and women live side by side, but never claim a legal divorce. The purpose of the present study is to consider the role of Conflict resolution styles in predicting the occurrence of couples' emotional divorce. The sample of this study consisted of 120 couples who were selected using available sampling method. To collect the data, conflict resolution questionnaire and Gottman's emotional divorce questionnaire was used. The research data were analyzed using discriminant analysis. The results of the study showed that among the conflicting styles, only the integrated style had a significant role in predicting the occurrence of emotional divorce.
