The Rise and Formation of the Terroristic Groups: A Case Study of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant

Abstract

The present study which is titled “The Rise and Formation of the ISIL Terroristic Groups”, investigated the said terroristic group that is now considered as the most active Takfiri extremists. Nowadays, terrorism is one of the major issues threatening the international peace and security. Terrorism is a phenomenon that considers no difference between military and civilian people and it often wants to achieve its unfair political goals by killing civilians. The objective of the present study is to investigate the whyness and howness of the formation of ISIL and the research question is the whyness and howness of the emergence of this terroristic group that uses a descriptive-analytic method. The terroristic ISIL group is the product of the Takfiri thought which is shaped by the sectarian conflicts led by regional actors. This study used the credible documents and concluded that the terroristic ISIL group is the product of the intellectual conflicts and the thoughts of the regional Takfiri groups and the regional power game; it is forming and making the crisis in Iraq and the region and is led by the effective political actors.
