Jayesh Misra, Chandana Bachchan, Purushottam Narang

Abstract

Sustainable development is an economic, political, and social development that fulfills the needs of a specific generation without threatening the ability of the next generation to fulfill its needs. Therefore, sustainable development seeks to realize the collective objectives of providing welfare, livelihood, poverty alleviation, public enjoyment of a desirable life, and increasing the next generation’s use of natural resources. All governments, especially the third world governments have attempted to achieve the standards of the developed countries (such as Germany, Japan, etc.) by the implementation of the economic plans and political modifications. The fact that whether political development is prioritized over economic development or vice versa and whether both of them have the same effect is investigated in this study by doing a case study about India. This study seeks to use the theory of development, study the economic, political, and social components of India, and investigate the approaches of the sustainable development based on an effective relationship between political development and economic development in this country.
