Svyatoslav Filippov, Lyudmila Fedorov

Abstract

The present study is titled “The Investigation and Explanation of the United Nations’ Support of the Victims of Child Trafficking” since child trafficking is a crime committed by transnational organized criminal groups in order to physically and sexually abuse the victims and obtain financial benefits. This crime indicates the gross violation of the human basic rights of the children; it is a very critical issue such that some compare it with classical slavery and call it modern slavery. As the most universal organization in the world and an organization that is responsible for monitoring implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the United Nations has the most responsibility for confronting and coping with this crime. This organization has adopted some strategies to this end such as supporting the children who are victims of this crime. This study is conducted using a descriptive-analytic method and international documents and describes different kinds of these supports. It aims at introducing and analyzing these supports so that this kind of human rights can be included in countries’ laws
