Teaching Citizen Rights from Social Sciences Perspective

Abstract

The training of skilled and professional personnel in many areas is one of the most important functions of the universities, and the proper utilization of specialized skills and efficient human resources is an integral part of any development and progress. Similarly, it can be said that paying attention to the efficiency of the university curriculum is an obvious and undeniable expectation. The set of social sciences includes both a wide range of topics and a significant number of university students; however, the issue of efficiency, especially among graduates of these fields, is a problem that attracts the attention of experts these days. The present article addresses the quality of social science education in a specific sense. In this regard, some of the factors affecting the quality of education in these sciences as well as its efficiency in KSA are mentioned. This article attempts to address some of the obstacles and problems of the development, improvement, and efficiency of this knowledge in relation to the current state of the social sciences in KSA and also addresses its relationship with the approaches and contents of education of social sciences; in this way, it proposes a way to exit the current situation and improve it. The set of proposed solutions can be categorized in several theoretical, methodological, and structural fields, and in each one it is possible to explain the status quo and present the reasons.
