Risk Management in The Cloud Computing and Web 2.0 Era

Abstract

Environmental uncertainty and the intensity of competition between organizations and managers have faced them with numerous challenges. These challenges new management approaches and specific competencies are considered and recommended for an effective manager. Identification and risk management is one of the new approaches used to enhance the effectiveness of organizations. Generally, a risk is known by the concept of probable loss or uncertainty which has different types and different categories. One of these classifications is a dynamic risk and dangerous risk. All forms of risk include common elements such as content activity, conditions, and outcomes. Web 2 has revolutionized how we interact with information sources. The term of "production by mass consumers" is opposed to production by a small group of people. Web 2 is known a new approach, not a new technology. The web's new approach is: Information is shattered into smaller units of "content" and distributed by many sites. The phenomenon of library 2 is also originated from Web 2 technologies. Therefore, cognition of Web 2 technologies helps us to understand the library 2. Social networks, wikis, RSS, podcasts, weblogs, popular categorization, and uploads are components of Web 2. These phenomena have created new situations for the profession of librarianship and information and librarians can use these facilities to improve their information services in their communities. In this article, Web 2 is introduced along with tools presented in it.
