Abstract

Identifying the image edge is the basis of computer vision, which has progressed rapidly in recent years. Considering the importance of identifying the edge and the evolution of ANN (Artificial Neural Network), we present a research paper on image edge recognition algorithms based on ANN. First, we examined the classical edge detection methods and introduce some of the new methods presented in these years. Secondly, we briefly stated the principles of ANN. Ultimately; we proposed a new edge identification method based on ANN and parallel computing. The new method takes precedence over the old one in terms of efficiency and accuracy in problem detection.
