Embedded System based on Fuzzy Logic for Video Segmentation

Abstract

video segmentation algorithms play an important role in video processing. Although these algorithms are made using software runtime, their implementation in hardware is required to achieve immediate operation. This article describes the construction of an embedded system for video segmentation. The video segmentation algorithm uses three fuzzy logic-based systems to solve the problem of three features associated with video sequences: motion, edges, and image repetition. The proposed strategy implements this algorithm as hardware with an IP core on a FPGA-based system. This paper describes the proposed architecture and design methodology for its construction in detail. The obtained embedded system is verified on the build page and is able to perform an immediate breakdown.
