The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of cognitive advance software on active memory function and fluid intelligence in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The research method was semi-experimental with pre-test-post-test and control group. The population included all students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder/attention deficit disorder (26 individuals) who were diagnosed by psychologists and school counselors for hyperactivity disorder/attention deficit disorder; all of these students were selected as sample groups and they have randomly assigned to experimental and control groups (13 individuals per). Initially, fourth edition of active memory scale, Wechsler’s children IQ scales, and the kettle intelligence test, A and B forms were performed as pretest; then the experimental group was trained using cognitive advance software training for 12 sessions (the control group did not receive any interventions). The questionnaires were used as a post-test. Finally, the data from the questionnaires were analyzed by one-factor covariance statistical analysis. The results showed that cognitive advance software increased the active memory (P< 0.006, F = 9.307) and fluid intelligence (P <0.001, F=34.953) in children with hyperactivity disorder /attention deficit and in the process of treating these children, the use of this software is suggested.
