Field and historical observations indicate that offshore platforms can be used by military and naval forces in maritime disputes. So, it is likely to occur explosions nearby. To achieve the objective, a case study of offshore platforms in the Persian Gulf region was studied under different explosion conditions. Therefore, the present study aimed to simulate the behavior of fixed base offshore platforms subjected to underwater explosions and the possible subsequent events. The invasion scenario was defined by placing naval mines filled with 50 and 100 kg TNT at a distance of 10 meters from the platforms. The wave loading induced by underwater explosion at a given depth was applied according to the Hunter and Gyrlz's oscillating bubbles model. The added mass method was used to consider the inertia effect of water surrounding the base. The platform structure was modeled using the finite element method in Abaqus software. In summary, it can be said that much greater local destruction was observed in the near field.
