Abstract

The electronic supply chain management (e-SCM) is a competitive area of the country’s industry. The existence of internet network and information centers in the supply chain management, meanwhile empowering the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and heightening their competition ability, guarantees their continuous striving in the scene of the today’s competition. Electronic supply chain management plays a very important role in the improvement of supply chain factors, accuracy of the information, reduction of the bullwhip effect and delivering the products at the right time and =right place with high speed and precision to the customers. Paying attention to these factors can be useful in the adoption of appropriate decisions parallel to the company or organization enhancement by the corresponding managers. The present study aims at identification of the critical factors contributing to the success of electronic supply chain and investigating their effects on the e-SCM implementation in the small and medium-sized enterprises. In line with this, thirteen questions have been raised and multivariate linear regression technique in SPSS software has been used to analyze the questionnaire. Multiple regression deals with the evaluation of a dependent variable that is linearly associated with several controlled independent variables. The independent variables, Xks, are the same subscales of the main scale and the independent variable, Y, is expressive of the e-SCM implementation. The analyses carried out indicated that four critical factors, to wit “the strategy of providing support to the supplier’s capacity”, “e-SCM consistency”, “organizational scale” and “the creativity in the chief executive officer”, are the most important factors behind the e-SCM implementation in the small and medium-sized enterprises. Concentrating on these four factors, the management can bring about future forward movements and progresses in the organization.
