Designing Math Model of Production and Delivery Planning in Supply Chain Systems

Marcellin Germain, Mélodie Thomas Merle, Danielle Marilène Arthur

Abstract

In the 1980s, we witnessed the deployment of a number of new production strategies, such as timely production, lean production, Kanban systems, and comprehensive quality management. These new production strategies were developed by some companies to improve the management system, increase production, improve the quality of the process, as well as reduce waste production and inventory costs to improve competition in different markets. Recently, as these strategies have focused more on improving supply chain management to achieve their aspirations, a number of developed supply-chain management strategies can be developed with the help of a computer analysis. The decision-support tools for voting with the help of computers play a crucial role in helping and managing supportive markets of decision makers of a set of multiple components of the supply chain. This paper developed a decision support tool for a supply chain system with the help of a computer along an integer linear optimization model from a generalized network grid with multiple products, multi-stage, multi-course, with capacity, and definite demand. The proposed model introduced a Kanban control system for design and allocation of production and delivery in the head-to-end supply chain. The primary purpose of the model was to minimize the cost of injection of Kanban, the cost of the goods made and the cost of work inventory during construction in the system. Practical issues of supply chain systems are linked to the optimization of the allocation of production and delivery.
