Teodora Vuković, Milivoj Babić, Iva Janković

Abstract

The formation of entrepreneur universities from the heart of the traditional university is the yield of the mutual effects of various forces and creativity and collective venturing are the prominent features of such universities. After the university manages to reach to a higher level of energy, to wit from a traditional university to an entrepreneur university, there is a need for the equilibration of the forces so as to preserve the conditions preventing the university from returning to its previous status. After the formation of entrepreneur universities, it is these same forces that influence the technology transferring process and commercialization of the university’s research accomplishments as the most important headlines of the third most important mission of the university. The current research paper takes advantage of library research and makes use of a transdisciplinary approach to deal with the analysis of the forces influencing the formation of entrepreneur universities and technology transferring from the perspectives of dynamics (centrifugal and centripetal forces), social change (Kurt Lewin), linguistics, electricity physics and psychology. The propelling forces like “financial funding and research equipment, market recognition, learning and so forth” and the preventive forces like “excessive applied nature of the researches and overly redundant market-centeredness of the university function” can be effective on the university’s exit from stability, change and re-stability based on the status quo of the affairs.
