Abstract

This paper expresses the quality of the use of the value analysis technique for assembly lines. In doing so, using assessment of strategic-position matrix and action, it examines the status of the organization and the need for value analysis in the organization under study. By studying the status of the assembly line, one could calculate criteria such as average number of activities per station, activity coherence index, distribution of tasks and activities at each station along with increased output, average efficiency of stations, number of production and labor employed for each of the two modes (before and after balancing the assembly line). Then, while comparing the calculated criteria in the two modes, the amount of riyal saves is identified. The results show that the implementation of this method brings great economic savings.
